PROJECT: Customer Self-Service Portal
CLIENT: Bermuda Electric Light Company (BELCO)
BELCO was implementing a customer website upgrade and customer portal to improve customer experience.
- Operates in a regulated environment which contributes to a unique rates structure
- Integration with six systems and vendor management for implementation of all changes
- Hurricane season was rapidly approaching
- Aggressive timelines from airport developers
- Poor communication between developer and Customs & Immigration departments
We coordinated the efforts of all impacted stakeholders, vendors and resources. Managed the day-to-day project management activities to coordinate the project interdependencies across at least five systems/platforms to ensure successful integration and on-time/on-budget delivery. Provided regular status updates to project sponsors and key stakeholders.
We were able to get the outage map fully operational in time for the first hurricane of hurricane season. It was gratifying to be part of a project that offers such important assistance to the citizens of Bermuda.
PROJECT: Billing System Upgrade
CLIENT: Midwest Energy
Midwest Energy required project management support for a vendor-required billing system upgrade.
- The previous project had over 30% defects
- Previous upgrade ran months over schedule
We coordinated the efforts of all impacted stakeholders, vendors, and resources. We managed the day-to-day project management activities to coordinate the project interdependencies across at least seven systems/platforms to ensure successful integration and on-time/on-budget delivery.
We provided regular status updates to project sponsors and key stakeholders.
The project finished on time with less than 5% defects.
